Background |
Before coming to the Bar, Richard was on active service in the Intelligence Corps (Field Security Service) in Malaya. He has been in practice at the Bar since 1952, and practiced in various fields including general common law, family and crime. He was a founder of King Street Chambers in1968, Head of Chambers 1975 – 1987. From 1972-1983 he was a Deputy Circuit Judge, and latterly has been an Assistant Recorder. Hobbies include antiques, classic cars, works of art, music and walking. He is a member of the Game Conservancy Trust, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, and the Intelligence Corps Association. |
