Practice

Stephen is a member of the Crime and Civil teams.

Civil: Real property (including trusts of land), landlord & tenant (including housing), nuisance (including Rylands v Fletcher), commercial and contract, negligence (including personal injury and occupiers liability), employment and other general torts.

Crime: Stephen undertakes some Criminal Defence work and has a particular interest in motoring offences.

Background

Before coming to the Bar, Stephen ran a successful property business in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire gaining a wealth of experience in business and sales. His maturity and practical approach to solving clients' problems is usually well received. Stephen is very competitive and particularly enjoys courtroom advocacy.

Stephen is married with two young sons. His competitive instincts have lead him to take part in the London Triathlon and, whilst studying for the BVC, he won two of the Inner Temple’s three internal mooting competitions and the competition between the four Inns of Court. Stephen regularly enjoys mountain-biking, dinghy racing and playing the piano.
